Is Product
design art
or science?

The most useful products might be overlooked unless art plays a role in making them appealing to users.

Is it a matter
of a designer
or teamwork?

It's the time when designers come into play and their primary task is to create a synergy effect which may stem from a collaboration of design team members.

Product Design

Is it for a client
or a future user?

Besides delightful visuals for both of them, the business gets the necessary support in setting the main goals and ways to achieve them. In turn, the user gains real benefits from using the product.

Why Product Design is essential part
of each app development process?

Product Design FAQ

The design price depends on the number of days needed to prepare a project. The number of days depends on the level of functional advancement of the application, integration with external APIs and the complexity of the graphics. We approach each project individually, estimating the number of days needed to create the visual look and functional aspects of the application.
The standard application design process focuses on the functionality and visual side of the app, so it does not include branding. We are prepared to extend the design process to include the creation of a brand. If such a need arises on the part of the customer, subcontractors related to branding recommended by the ITgenerator or the customer shall be included in the work schedule.
The recognition and UX design stage are often omitted during app development, which later affects the quality of the solutions provided. The task of designing is not only to provide the look of an app, but above all to create a product that is easy to use and has the foundations for its further development. This is a time when you can rely on the design team which will help you to find above-average solutions to meet the needs of your users.
Each design stage can be divided into 3 main sets of activities - concepting and strategy, sketching functionalities and screens, and graphic designing. It is possible to buy the above sets of activities separately, under the conditions that the works are carried out in chronological order and that the customer has at his disposal appropriate materials for starting the given set of activities:

1. The concept and strategy phase can start straight away, after the brief has been filled in, without signing the contract.

2. The screen sketching phase can begin after receiving the functional specification, which is the result of the work of previous phase.

3. Graphical design begins after the functional specification, supplemented by user flow, information architecture and wireframes, has been submitted. For commercial projects, the customer side materials are complemented by brand guidelines.
The design phase is omitted in the case of projects with a low workload and a focus on programming only. With other projects, developers can start coding when the client has full functional specification together with screen graphics.
No. You need to design every application, not only for startups, but also for internal business use. The difference is the design process, where activities related to market analysis, competition analysis and identification of the target group of users are added in case of startups.
If you do not have the chosen font, then during the graphic design stage you will select the typography that matches the purpose and style of your application together with the designer. We work on a large number of free fonts. However, if you wish to use a paid font, it is up to you to choose the font you wish to use. In case of animation, we approach them individually and charge them additionally.
Testing at the design stage has a significant impact on correcting bugs even before programming, which then saves time and money. We test apps twofold:

1. After sketching your screens and their functionalities

2. After adding colors and graphics

After the tests, an observation report is prepared and recommendations are made as to the corrections discussed later with the customer.
Material design is cheaper and less time-consuming. Its implementation is based on the use of standardized graphics elements coming from publicly available libraries. Often this type of graphic design is used for applications operating for internal company use. Dedicated graphics, such as layouts, illustrations and icons, are used to create commercial applications in order to differentiate themselves in the competitive market and to develop a coherent visual message.
The design team on the customer side consists of a mix of people who are responsible for project management, marketing or business development. The team is supplemented by a representation of the software house with people at the positions of Project Manager, Developer and Product Designer, who also manages the work of the entire team.
